Remember: It's A Matter of Principle

The House and Senate majority leaderships announced today that negotiations continue over SCHIP reauthorization and expansion, and that efforts to forge a compromise attracting a veto-proof majority are "close." Apparently, proof-of-citizenship requirements have been the most contentious provision, and Republicans are worried about voting in opposition to their own leaderships and the white House.

So remember: It's all about the kids.
